Well, technically they didn't get married in a boat house, but in a patio next to a boat house. Usually when I get booked for destination weddings in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, they take place on the beach. This one took place at a house on a canal. This setting presented a new set of challenges and opportunities.
Astyn and Chris didn't have a first view request so we had a few moments before the ceremony to take some portraits during daylight. After the ceremony we worked in time for more portraits with a different look. We got the safe shots and they were up for more off the wall portraits. They were not afraid to look silly to get a good shot. I really didn't have to pose them too much. Their interaction with each other was just a matter of putting them in a spot. Even the posed portraits don't look planned because they couldn't keep their eyes off of each other. All I had to do was take their portraits.
