Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Wildlife Photography
by Jon Hauge
As a photographer I am blessed to live in an area with such diverse wildlife as Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. If you are a birder, you cannot get much better than areas along Fort Morgan Road in Gulf Shores and Perdido Pass in Orange Beach. The Gulf State Park is home to a nesting pair of bald eagles, as well as fellow raptor the osprey. On a walk through the bike trails of the park you can also see lizards, alligators and snakes. Robinson Island in Perdido Pass features a colony of nesting great blue herons and green herons. If you are a birder, nature lover, and wildlife watcher, Pleasure Island that makes up Gulf Shores and Orange Beach is a great place to observe wildlife.
