Because the Gulf Coast is a beautiful area to photograph, I try to incorporate as much of it into the backgrounds of my portrait shoots as possible. For this session my goal was to use the beach as a backdrop and get a studio look for the portrait. Suzie wore a dress so I decided to go for an elegant look for the environmental portrait shoot. We had perfect weather and just enough clouds at sunset to make the skies dramatic looking.
