I was on a scouting trip today looking for new locations to shoot and decided to eat lunch at the Derailed Diner in Robertsdale, Alabama. It is located at the Oasis Travel Center at Exit 53 on I-10, or better known to locals at the Wilcox Road Exit. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu consists of familiar Southern comfort foods.

What sets the Derailed Diner apart is travel is featured in the overall theme of the diner. The outside features a literal derailed train that looks like it crashed into the restaurant. There is an added dining car. Inside, it has a bar that features a school bus that leads into the kitchen. The walls feature travel memorabilia. If you are looking for a place that has atmosphere in a relaxed atmosphere, the Derailed Diner is a great place to visit.
