While vacationing with his family on Dauphin Island, Jared wanted a senior portrait session during his stay on the island. We discussed various concepts and it was decided we would have about four different looks. We settled on two locations to start off with, the old fishing pier and Cadillac Square. I thought these would be good locations for the casual looks. 

One look was a little different. Jared wanted his Mini Copper included in one of the looks. I was told his High School colors are similar to the color of his car so I though his football jersey  would go well with the car. This portrait needed an area with plenty of room and a nice area so I decided on the East end of the island near Fort Gaines. I also wanted this part of the session to take place after sunset so we would have some blues in the sky. 

We started about two hours before sunset and wrapped things up in about two and half hours. The critical portion of the shoot was the one with the car so I wanted to be at that location with plenty of time to setup. A great thing about the East end of the island is the variety of environmental settings so we were able to take advantage of the spot while waiting for the sunset.
