Spring Nesting Behavior for Osprey in Pensacola Beach | Fort Pickens

I had a recent portrait session at Fort Pickens near Pensacola Beach and I brought my wildlife lens just in case the osprey were active. After the shoot I visited some established osprey nests at the fort and I was not disappointed with the activity around the nests. It was just about a prefect day for wildlife photography. A pair of osprey will use the same nest year in and year out. This is the time of year they get reacquainted with each other and rebuild their nests. Each of the three nests I listed had activity and even one pair looked they were getting busy with baby making!
