This was a mid Fall 2017 family session that took place in Perdido Key just a few days before Thanksgiving. It was a bright evening for the shoot so we started in some shaded areas on the beach. In the background there was a great blue heron hanging around so I setup quickly to get some family portraits photobombed by the bird. Herons seemed to be the theme of the day as they were a few on the beach that day hoping to sneak a fish from some of the people fishing that day. 

By the end of the shoot some clouds moved in which made for some great natural light portraits as well as dramatic looks with my portable studio strobes.
