This multi-family shoot in Gulf Shores was a bit different than my usual multi-family sessions. Typically, multi family sessions are individual families within a large related family that are here for family reunions. These two families vacation together because of friendship so they decided to split a family beach portrait session. 

Another reason why this session was different is the original location was rained out. My assistant and I arrived early at the original location and it started to rain 30 minutes before the session. The radar showed rain was scattered all over the area except for the Fort Morgan area and it was moving that way. I called the family and we changed the location. The drive with traffic took about 40 minutes so this also reduced the amount if time I would have with the families. Fortunately, this was a day I had an assistant so the game plan was for her to take candid pictures of one family while I was working with the other family on the posed shots. This way we were able to double up on the content and service provided to the family.  

As a side benefit, the approaching rain provided for some great backgrounds.
