This was an early morning fishing trip in Fairhope, Alabama that turned into a sightseeing kayak trip. I was kinda of optimistic because it was an East wind and we had rains to cool the temperatures down some. However, all I caught was a catfish under a popping cork. I had some topwater blowups from ladyfish but that was it on the fishing front. I did see large schools of mullet and something was chasing them. I got one not so great picture of them jumping out of the water trying to evade whatever was chasing them. I threw a mullet bait at the schools but no bites. It was probably for the better since I had light tackle but it would have been fun to go on a sleigh ride.

Although I didn't catch anything substantial, it was fun being on the water and seeing the sights of Mobile Bay on a Fairhope September morning.
