October 2020 was a great month of fishing on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. The speckled trout were in a Fall staging area at Daphne around the pilings and piers. The bigger trout were around the pilings and the schooling trout were caught under birds. Live shrimp were a go to bait. However, the bite on paddle tail swim baits were just as hot. The water was a little muddy so I opted for chartreuse colored baits most of the time, with purple and chartreuse catching the most baits on a day chasing schoolies under birds. On one late evening trip the topwater bite was getting hits as well.
