Orange Beach Wedding PhotographerOn Saturday, October 12,2013 I covered what was the shortest beach wedding ceremony I have witnessed. As a result, we had a little more time to play around with the portrait shots. The time of day the wedding took place was not conducive to great natural light photography. The beaches in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are great for scenery but can be harsh when doing portrait sessions. The sand acts as a natural reflector and shooting with the subjects looking directly into the sun causes them to squint. I brought my portable light to help balance out the light and it also helps create a different look compared to natural light. The couple had their ideas of what they wanted and I incorporated that with available light and strobed light. One thing about beach wedding photography you never what may photobomb your portrait as can be seen at the end of the series.
