With overcast skies, the sunrise at Perdido Pass in Orange Beach,Alabama looked like the beach had a fiery ceiling of clouds. These type of conditions can create vivid sunrise photography, but it doesn't last long. The sun has a narrow view on the horizon and it will light up the underneath of the clouds. It will eventually rise above the clouds leaving a dull grey beach. Sometimes a photographer can only have a couple of minutes to get the best colors and light in these type of conditions.
