I made a visit to see the nesting bald eagles at the Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores on Monday, February 24, 2014. There are two confirmed chicks in the nest but I did not see them on this visit.  I have been watching this pair for three nesting seasons now and it still makes me happy to write there are nesting eagles in Gulf Shores! I guess it's time to get a longer lens.
