After a rainy weekend, the weir at the Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama was overflowing with water runoff. As I was walking to my truck after taking pictures of osprey, I noticed there was some splashing going on at the weir. I walked over to see mullet jumping over the weir. The thought that ran through my head was this looked like salmon jumping over waterfalls as they make their way up the rivers to spawn.
