I have had some portrait sessions, photographed wildlife at the Bird Sanctuary and visited the Dauphin Island Estuarium but I haven't had a photography tour of the island itself. I looked at today's forecast and it called for partly cloudy skies with a chance of thunderstorms. I like those conditions because you can get some really great looking storm clouds in sunny conditions. I gave myself an assignment to photograph Dauphin Island and each picture had to feature blue skies and white clouds. The other restriction was using the fuji x100s which has a fixed 35 mm equivalent lens, although I did bring a DSLR with a 70-300 mm lens in case I had some wildlife opportunities. I wasn't so much concerned with the subject matter as I was finding good color.
