Faith,Family, and Fishing - Family Lifestyle PortraitI have known Aaron for a few years now through church and our common interest of kayak fishing. We have had many fishing trips and they sometimes involve late evening or early morning visits to the Waffle House before or after our trips. As usual we always talk about what is going in our lives and Aaron's discussions generally involve God, his family, and fishing.
I wanted to incorporate this into a lifestyle family portrait session for Aaron and his wife April that is a bit different from a standard portrait session. I wanted them to be who they are if they were going on a fishing trip with the boys so this meant no dressing up. Fishing gear was a must.
Aaron loves being outdoors and this is where I wanted to incorporate his Faith. I wanted the landscape to be a part of the portrait session like we were in a studio and it was a backdrop. In regards to family, I wanted to capture them in a setting they would be in if they were having family time. Fishing is the element that brings the session together.
Some days we just catch weed fish.
