Tuesday afternoon on the Eastern Shore was unusually warm. I was hoping the warm weather would bring out the reptiles around Daphne's Alligator Alley. As expected I immediately saw turtles and alligators warming themselves on the banks of D'Olive Creek and exposed logs in the water. The warm weather also brought out sightseers and anglers. One fisherman showed me a nice slot redfish and a bass he caught during the afternoon.

The wildlife was not limited to reptiles as a few birds were active in the creek. I saw anhinga, a kingfisher, great egret, snowy egret, tri-colored heron, and brown pelicans.
