This family was staying at a beach house down Fort Morgan Road near Gulf Shores, Alabama. I typically shoot at the beach houses for my family sessions since beach houses in the background look better than the high rise condos. The grandmother said there where they were staying was busy at sunset and there were several tents setup as well. I suggested we shoot at Fort Morgan near the old fishing pier just after the ferry.

One of the great things about this location is you can get the sunset over water. On the Gulf side, the sun sets behind the beach. Since Fort Morgan is at the tip of Baldwin County, it has an area with Mobile Bay on the North side so you get the sunset and beach. Another feature of this location is the ghost crabs. They kept the grandchildren entertained during the shoot!
