This was a late summer family beach session at the Portofino Island Resort in Pensacola Beach, Florida. September is a great time for beach portraits because the beaches are not as crowded and the sun begins to set closer to the water. We were able to get a few different looks with this session, mixing up the backgrounds with sand dunes, the shoreline, and waves from the Gulf of Mexico. The weather was just about perfect that provided just enough over cast to make it easy for the subjects eyes while still getting a bright look on the beach. Towards the end of the session the clouds in the background gave us a painterly sky after sunset.
