Family Photographer in Perdido KeyThis portrait took place in Perdido Key. It was an overcast day so the light was very soft and flat. This was a situation I added lighting to bring more depth to the portrait. I also wanted a hint of the dunes in the background but I didnÕt want the sea oats to overpower the shot since this was a headshot.

To get this portrait I had to spend some extra time with the subject. He was giving a fake, cheesy smile for the majority of this set. It also helped when family members stopped trying to get him to smile. Sometimes during family sessions there are so many people trying to get the child to smile that there attention is all over the place except for looking at the camera. It helps when there is one family member getting the childs attention so there are not as many distractions.
