Gulf Shores Elopement | Pensacola Wedding Photographer

This elopement beach wedding is the prefect example of why I actually like having the typical summer weather pattern of scattered afternoon thunderstorms. It is also an example of why I like modern technology and weather apps that have radar and rain notifications.

Rain was in the area and I was little concerned this wedding would have to take place under shelter. However, the radar showed the clouds were moving out and the rain notifications alerted the rain would stop around the time of the ceremony. I saw clear skies in the North and the clouds were moving South so the wedding went as planned. What happened throughout the hour was beyond my expectations. With the remains clouds in the area, the beach became saturated with different colors and backgrounds throughout the wedding and portrait session afterwords as the light from the sun bounced all over the beach. Just when I thought it couldn't get more dramatic, I would look in a different direction and notice another shade of color or interesting cloud in the background. Because it was just the couple, we had more time take advantage of the changing scenes. This session featured natural light as well as portable studio lighting for some dramatic beach portraits.
