I am always looking for photo ops while fishing and this one was a combination of preparation, timing, and luck. While fishing around the pilings and piers in Daphne, Alabama I spotted some pelicans at an area I wanted to fish. I grabbed my camera and took some snaps of them on the old pier. I knew the closer I got some would fly off. Eventually they did so I kept focus on the birds while they flew off. I had the camera in the high frame rate mode so I took probably around 20 or so frames. After reviewing the pictures I noticed two pelicans were in almost perfect synchrony. I was relieved when I reviewed the photos on a large screen and the photo was in focus.
