Blue Bird|Feeding Time for the Babies

April 22, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

I set up this blue bird house about a month ago hoping to get some photo ops out of it. This pair took to the house immediately and now they have babies that require feeding. Watching their activity today I noticed the feedings are about 10-15 minutes apart. Also, the pair hunt together.  There wasn't one parent left at the nest while the other gathered food. When one parent brought food, the other trailed behind and observed, perched in the pecan tree. After the feeding, both parents would fly off together in search for more insects.

The white goo is what I am guessing to be baby bird poop. Every now and then the parent would bring out this stuff and fly away with it.
