I had a portrait session cancel today because of weather, so I gave myself another project. The weather was a little iffy but I decided to shoot at the location I was going to do the portrait session. Instead of a person, I shot the old stumps, roots, and trees like it was a portrait session. I used an off camera flash to give a little different look for many of the shots. These were actually shot in bright daylight, but I underexposed the backgrounds and compensated by lighting up the subjects with the flash.
